1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant (E4062) - West End Primary School

We are looking for a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team in September on a 1 year fixed term contract with the potential for extension!

West End Primary is a small and vibrant primary school in Horsforth.  We pride ourselves on our welcoming community, nurturing environment, and supportive staff team.

The School’s Governing Body are seeking to appoint two highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistants to support named children in Key Stage 2 with SEND on a 1:1 basis.  You must have the relevant experience to support a child with SEND needs. Previous experience of supporting children with autism, ADHD and/or challenging behaviour would be an advantage.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring individual who is able to build positive relationships with children which support them in meeting their potential. This role will require clear communication with families and wider agencies as well as the school staff team to support emotional, social and academic progress for the child.

30 hours per week 8.45-3.15 Monday to Friday

We are looking for a professional with:

• experience working in school with children with SEND needs 

• skills to build positive relationships with children

• good communication skills both written and verbal
