Supporting your Child's Mental Health and Wellbeing

If your child is struggling at the moment there are lots of simple things that you can do to help. Please remember that you are not alone and there is plenty of help available. In school, our PSHE and nurture groups are often used to address general concerns or more specific ones.  To assist you at home we have attached some links below. If you require further support please contact school.

Additionally, Horsforth Children's Services offer one-off advice sessions, parent support courses and 1:1 parent support should it become necessary.  A referral for this support can be made through school.  In high-need cases there is an option for a short block of counselling for your child.   Their Facebook page is a great source of up to date advice.

In some cases a referral to CAMHS or another agency may be the best way to support you and your child.  This is something that school can support with.
