West End Primary School and Nursery

Be Your West End Best

Governors

The Governing Body of West End Primary is very proud of the school’s happy, enthusiastic children and the hard working, talented and committed staff. In all our decision making we support the school ethos of providing a happy, stimulating environment where excellence and enjoyment go hand in hand, enabling our children to feel safe and secure and to develop lively enquiring minds.

The Governing Body has three main roles as outlined in the Governors’ Handbook:

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
  • Holding the Head Teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent

West End School governing body consists of up to 11 Governors and the Headteacher who support the school in its aim of providing outstanding education. Our Governors are drawn from different parts of our community including parents.
