Week commencing 14th January Multi Cultural Week (celebrating diversity)
This year multi cultural week will take a French theme linked to the provision of teaching French within the school. The school's French Co-ordinator, Mrs Frost will read stories to each class in French. A French dance teacher and musician will visit school to teach the children traditional dances and explain more about French culture. The children will investigate French life, history and geography. The classes will sample French cuisine.
The week will end with an assembly where the children can share what they have learned.

4th March Book Fair school hall for World Book Day
Week commencing 10th March National Science Week. The whole school will be taking part in various Science activities during the course of the week. Visitors will coming into school to share their knowledge with the children and The Year 6 Pupils will be visiting the Stardome at Horsforth High School.

16th - 20th June Healthy Schools Week
This year during our Healthy Schools Week we will have lots of fun and healthy activities. Some of these will include a our sports day, which will be organised by Mr Stout our PE Coordinator. We will have Tai Chi and aerobic sessions for all the children and a free aerobic taster session after school for staff and parents. We will be making delicious smoothies and we will hold a 'bush tucker challenge', ( a blind food tasting of healthy foods to develop our taste buds).
Using the heart start programme we will be providing first aid training to our pupils.
We will also swop our usual music for well known French songs, to integrate French into our daily physical programme during our morning 'wake up and shake up' activity.
