Year 3 Nightingale Class

Nightingale Class is a happy, busy, fun and friendly classroom where we work and play well together. We are always nice to others and enjoy making friends. We will always have a smile on our face and help where we can.

We love working in our classroom areas, creating models, exploring construction and doing arts and crafts to support our learning and reading from a vast range of books.

Week 16.11.17

In our writing we have continued to learn about the features of myths and legends. The children are becoming familiar with different stories from Ancient Greece and we have discovered that a true myth has a hero, god and mythical monster in it. This week we have focused on the twelve labours completed by Heracles and have been role playing different myths.

In Maths we have been looking at how to use a number line to demonstrate our working out when solving division calculations.

In other areas of learning, we have been writing secret messages to each other in hieroglyphics, completed a circle time on how our behaviour can impact on others to link with Anti-Bullying week and have been using atlases to label maps of the world.
