We hope you like the new look website! Class pages are now located in the 'Children' zone. Well done to all our children who helped to raise £105 as part of our World Book Day celebrations

We aim to foster children's sensitivity to and enjoyment of music through listening, composing and performing. Key concepts we develop in music are pitch, duration, dynamics, timbre, tempo, texture and structure. The children develop knowledge, skills and and an understanding of music and an appreciation of its importance in different cultures.

The children have lots of different opportunities to sing and play at school assemblies, class assemblies, music concerts and also to perform at Leeds Town Hall Concert.

Our commitment and excellence in singing has been rewarded initally with a Sing up Silver level accreditation, followed by a Gold award in 2013.

Children learn the recorder from age 7 and we have a school orchestra, percussion group and choir. We have our own music specialist who works with all the children and peripatetic music teachers, from Leeds Music Service provide optional extra tuition in woodwind, strings and brass.
